To provide a vehicle electric motor controller for following an instruction of the quantity of an operation from an external apparatus, reflecting operative conditions on an AC electric motor and the vehicle electric motor controller, calculating a target operating point within the electric motor controller, informing the external apparatus, guiding the external apparatus into a transition to an operation at the target operating point, and operated so as to autonomously correct the quantity of a control instruction.
A torque instruction τ* is inputted from the external apparatus 24 to a current instruction table 21 and a target operating point calculating means 22. The current instruction table 21 refers to and outputs a d-axis current instruction and a q-axis current instruction. A switching signal is generated by implementing an electric motor control calculation within a control calculating section 20 using the d-axis current instruction and a q-axis current instruction as targets. A target operating point calculating section 22 calculates a target operating point candidate with the maximum total efficiency based on the total efficiency table. An electric motor operating information transmitting means 23 transmits the target operating point and information on it to the external apparatus 24, and guides the external apparatus 24 into the transition to the target operating point.
