To enhance flexibility in arranging an introduction pipe part and a lead-out pipe of an oil cooler, and to enhance flexibility in connecting the oil cooler to pipes in arrangement of the oil cooler on a crankcase at the rear of a cylinder block in a vehicle engine where a transmission is stored in a transmission storage part formed in the crankcase.
An externally-cylindrical oil cooler 40 is arranged on a transmission storage part 22a at the rear of a cylinder block 23 so that the center axis of the oil cooler 40 is vertically oriented. An introduction pipe part 59 for introducing cooling water inside the oil cooler and a lead-out pipe part 60 for leading out the cooling water from the inside of the oil cooler 40 are provided in an outer circumference of the oil cooler 40.
