Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a stable communication area before start of a vehicle power source in communication between an on-vehicle machine and a portable machine and to suppress occurrence of a communication error caused by the driving after the start of the vehicle power source, in relation to an on-vehicle equipment remote control system.
SOLUTION: The on-vehicle equipment remote control system has the on- vehicle machine 20 capable of transmitting request signals having different frequency and the portable machine 22 capable of receiving the request signals having different frequency transmitted from the on-vehicle machine 20. In performing engine start control before the engine start, down link communication from the on-vehicle machine 20 to the portable machine 22 is performed using radio wave having low frequency of 134 kHz. In recognizing whether the portable machine 22 lies in a car or not after the engine start, the down link communication from the on-vehicle machine 20 to the portable machine 22 is performed using radio wave having high frequency of 300 kHz.
