To provide a vehicle fire prevention system having both passive and active fire prevention systems working coordinately.

A vehicle fire prevention system comprises: a passive fire prevention system 26, such as a powder panel, associated with a fuel tank 22 on a vehicle 20; an active fire prevention system 30 associated with a crew compartment 24 in the vehicle 20; and a control link for transmitting a signal to actuate the active fire prevention system. The passive fire prevention system 26 is connected to a sensor 42 through a control line 40. Once any abnormality in the crew compartment is detected by the sensor 42, the active fire prevention system 30 is activated. After a discharged object 25 penetrates a shell 21, the passive prevention system 26, a fuel tank 22, and the crew compartment 24, the passive prevention system provides the crew compartment 24 and the fuel tank 22 with powder 28, while the active prevention system provides the crew compartment 24 with powder 32.
