To provide a vehicle floating nut assembly for a body mounting fixture that can be mounted to a vehicle body and painted together with the vehicle body such that a nut remains floating.
This vehicle floating nut assembly is a part of the body mounting fixture that couples the vehicle body onto a vehicle frame. The floating nut assembly is provided with a nut element floating inside. At least one of sliding surfaces located between a nut retainer assembly and the nut element is coated with a coating resistant material such as polytetrafluoroethylene. The nut retainer assembly thereby allows the nut element to slide relative to the planar surface of the retainer assembly within a predetermined moving range. Several floating nut assemblies are used to fixedly couple the vehicle body to the vehicle frame in which one of the vehicle floating nut assemblies is constituted to allow the movement of the nut element only in one linear direction.
