PURPOSE: To obtain the on-vehicle FM multiplex broadcast receiver in which a paging signal addressed to itself is received without-missing while preventing consumption of a battery when the vehicle is not in use.
CONSTITUTION: The receiver is provided with an FM multiplex broadcast reception section 1 receiving an FM multiplex broadcast signal, a paging signal selection section 3 selecting a paging signal in the FM multiplex broadcast signal, an audio signal reproduction section 2 reproducing an audio signal in the FM multiplex broadcast signal, a paging data memory 5 storing paging data, a display section 6 displaying the paging data, and a control section controlling the operation. Then the capacitor 4 switches the FM multiplex broadcast reception section 1, the paging signal selection section 3, and the paging data memory 5 into the operating state only for a timing period when a paging signal addressed to itself is received when a power supply of the on-vehicle FM multiplex broadcast receiver is inactive in the case of turning off an accessory key. The received paging data and the reception time data are stored in the paging memory 5.
