To enhance the durability of a separating membrane by arranging a limiting member for limiting horizontal movement of the separating membrane in a substantially horizontal direction, at the inner wall surface of a fuel tank.
A separating membrane 5 divides the inner space 4 defined between the upper and lower parts 2, 3 of a fuel tank 1 into an air chamber 6 and a fuel chamber 7. Fuel is filled into the fuel chamber 7 through a fuel filling pipe connected to the fuel chamber 7. A plurality of substantially concentric annular folds are formed in the separating membrane 5b, and the peripheral edge part 5a of the separating membrane 5 is secured to the upper and lower parts 2, 3 at its fixing part 8 so that the center part of the separating membrane 5 is made into contact with the liquid surface of fuel in the fuel chamber 7, and accordingly, it moved up and down together with the liquid surface of the fuel. The inner wall surface of a limiting member 28 formed of a side wall 3b of the lower part 3 is inclined inward downward from the fixing part 8, thereby it is possible to limit substantially horizontal movement of membrane 5.
