To provide a vehicle head lamp for improving visibility of a periphery of a vehicle.
The head lamp of the vehicle has a light source including a plurality of optoelectronic elements, preferably light-emitting diodes. At least one of these optoelectronic elements has, in lighting, a luminous flux of at least 5 lm or higher. The spectrum characteristics of a light beam generated by the light source depend upon a position in the light beam. The light beam comprises at least two light beam segments having essentially different spectrum characteristics. Preferably, one of the light beam segments is tuned into mesopic vision. In particular, a first light beam segment comprises a considerable amount of white or yellow-orange light, and a second light beam segment comprises a considerable amount of blue-green light.
