To solve such a problem that a conventional vehicle headlight, in which an LED is used as a light source for a low-beam light distribution and a metal halide discharge tube, a halogen lamp or the like are used for light sources for a high-beam light distribution in many cases, causes a change of a light color upon switching and gives a sense of discomfort.
A vehicle headlight 1 is composed of a plurality of lighting tool units each using an LED as a light source, and main parts of these lighting units are projector-type lighting tool units and the lighting tool unit is composed of two kinds of lighting tool units, namely, a first lighting tool unit 2 forming a low-beam light distribution by a fixed light shielding plate and a second lighting tool unit 3 in which a light shielding plate is made movable and a switching is made possible between a low-beam light distribution and a high-beam light distribution.
