To provide a vehicle headlight capable of preventing chromatic aberration and taking out light with high efficiency.

The projector-type vehicle headlight 10 is composed of: a semiconductor light source 20 mainly provided with a semiconductor device; a reflector 30 having a spheroid-shaped reflection surface reflecting light from the semiconductor light source 20; a shade 40 disposed near a second focal point F2 of the reflector so as to intercept part of the light from the reflector 30 with its top edge to form a cut-off line suitable for a predetermined light distribution pattern; and a projection lens 50 disposed such that a focal point F3 is located near the top edge of the shade 40. The semiconductor light source 20 is tilted downward in the range of 45 degrees from the light axis based on the focal point F3 of the projection lens 50. Light dispersion portions 52 and 54 are provided at the top side and the bottom side of the projection lens 50, respectively, with the light dispersion portion at the bottom side having a larger area than the upper.
