Abstract:
A vehicle headlight (1) comprising: light sources (52R, 52G, 52B); and phase modulation elements (54R, 54G, 54B) that diffract light (LR, LG, LB) emitted from the light sources (52R, 52G, 52B) in a variable phase modulation pattern and emit light (DLR, DLG, DLB) in prescribed light distribution pattern on the basis of the phase modulation pattern. A control unit (71) adjusts the phase modulation pattern and, while maintaining the prescribed light distribution pattern, changes the direction of emission for the light (DLR, DLG, DLB) having the prescribed light distribution pattern.
