Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease an amount of movement of a line of sight when a driver alternately views ahead of the vehicle and a virtual image of information provided by a head-up display.SOLUTION: A head-up display 7 comprises: a light-emitting part 8 which generates information as a light beam; optical fibers 9, 10 one end of each of which is connected to the light-emitting part 8 via a switching device 12 and which transmits the light beam; and a projecting part 11 which is provided at the other end of each of the optical fibers 9, 10 and projects the light beam to a window shield glass 6. In addition, the head-up display 7 also comprises a displacement device 13 that displaces the projecting part 11 such that a position P1 in which the light beam is projected onto the window shield glass 6 is changed. In a position P2 forward away from the position P1 in which the information is projected onto the window shield glass 6, a driver of the vehicle views a virtual image of the information. Then, the projecting part 11 is displaced such that the position where the virtual image of the information is changed in a direction beyond a line of sight of the driver viewing ahead of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
