To solve a problem wherein in a conventional heater for a vehicle, part of a body of an occupant may continue to contact with a heat radiation member depending on his/her physique, seating posture and body movement during driving etc. and this may unnecessarily heat the contact part, make the occupant feel uncomfortable, and cause low-temperature burn.
In this heater for a vehicle, an improvement to increase contact thermal resistance is applied to the surface of a heat radiation member 3. Thus, even if part of an occupant body contacts with the heat radiation member 3, since the contact thermal resistance is large, heat conduction from a heating means 2 is prevented to suppress unnecessary heating of the contact part.
