To provide a vehicle indoor illumination apparatus capable of realizing indirect illumination with a high gradation effect and suppressing that a light guide is directly seen from crew members.
A vehicle indoor illumination apparatus is arranged at a side of a ceiling material 2 in a vehicle width direction Q, and comprises: a covering material 5 which is arranged by extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction at the side of the ceiling material 2 in the vehicle width direction; a bar-like first light guide 6 and a second light guide 7 which are arranged in parallel with each other in an extending direction of the covering material 5 between the covering material 5 and the ceiling material 2. At an outer end 5a of the covering material 5 in the vehicle width direction, a first opening 15 for irradiating light of the first light guide 6 toward the outside of the vehicle width direction on both sides of the covering material 5 of the ceiling material 2 is formed, at an inner end of the covering material 5 in the vehicle width direction, a second opening 16 for irradiating light of the second light guide 7 toward the inside of the vehicle width direction on both sides of the covering material 5 of the ceiling material 2 is formed, and the second opening 16 has opening width narrower than that of the first opening 15.
