Abstract:
To provide a vehicle information acquisition system that solves a problem in that information with which an imaged vehicle and a registered vehicle are comparable with each other cannot be displayed.SOLUTION: A first system of the present invention includes: an acquisition unit that acquires an image in which at least part of a number plate attached to a vehicle appears; a character extraction unit that extracts characters from the number plate portion in the image; a vehicle information acquisition unit that acquires vehicle information corresponding to the extracted characters from a storage unit that stores vehicle information about registered vehicles and characters in association with each other; and a display control unit that causes a display to display the acquired vehicle information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
