Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle information detection system which is inexpensive, can exactly detect speed for every vehicle even when the following vehicle approaches, and is hard to be affected by measurement environment by simple device structure.SOLUTION: A vehicle information detection system 1 comprises: a laser sensor part 12 which detects presence/absence of a vehicle 11 passing through a monitoring area provided by being divided at least into two along a vehicle travel direction; and a control part 13 which controls the laser sensor part 12, in which the laser sensor part 12 is set so as to detect the vehicle 11 at a predetermined height from a road surface, and the control part 13 controls the laser sensor part 12, and detects a tip part of the vehicle 11 entering a first monitoring area E1 on the front side of the vehicle travel direction and/or a second monitoring area E2 on the back side of the vehicle travel direction.
