To provide a vibration generator capable of precisely reproducing the vibration imparted to the vehicle while running, and to provide the vehicle inspection device, that is capable of reproducing more reliable inspection results by reproducing the vibration imparted to the passenger vehicle, while running.

The vehicle inspection device 1 comprises the vibration exciter 2 for imparting vibration to the passenger vehicle 11; the inspection results storage device 4 for storing the information detected by the strange gauge 3 regarding the deformation of the vehicle, wherein the vibration exciter 2 is provided with the vibration exciter units 21 for independently imparting the vibration to each wheel of the vehicle 11; the wheel support member 23 for supporting the external periphery of the wheel from down side of the vehicle 11; the vertical vibration cylinder24 for imparting vertical vibration to the wheel support member 23; the back-and-forth abutting member 25 for abutting against the external periphery from slanted down side; and the back-and-forth vibration cylinder for imparting the back-and-forth vibration to the back-and-forth abutting member 25.
