Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle measurement device capable of measuring a time required for a vehicle to travel for a previously set measurement distance comparatively easily with high accuracy, without restriction of a place.SOLUTION: A vehicle measurement device detects an object 2 (for example, a utility pole on a road) which exists ahead of a vehicle 1 and is away from the vehicle 1 by a set distance DSET or more, constantly calculates a target distance DNOW representing a distance between the detected object 2 and the vehicle 1 to determine that the vehicle 1 has completed the travelling for a measurement distance DMSR on the basis of a change in the target distance DNOW, and measures a time required to travel from a start point tS to a travel completion point tE by a timer. A point where the target distance DNOW changes from that in a state in which the vehicle 1 stops is taken as the start point tS, and measurement is automatically performed without the operation by a driver to start the measurement of a timer.
