To provide a mounting plate for mounting a vehicle mirror assembly on a non-uniform surface of a vehicle body.
The mounting plate 2 is structured so as to make deformation when attached to a vehicle in order to comply with the surface shape of the vehicle body 15 and has an installation surface 4 to abut to the body and a constituent element surface 5 for supporting the constituent element of the mirror assembly on the surface opposite the installation surface. A plurality of contact legs 10 are installed on the installation surface of the plate in such a way that a spacing is reserved in the plane direction. Each contact leg has a supporting surface protruding from the flat portion of the installation surface so as to abut the the body when the plate is attached. The plate deforms when attached and is fixed to the body while the supporting surfaces of the legs face the body so that the plate abuts to the body stably on the non-uniform surface.
