Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle motor drive unit which can change block torque by a vehicle speed, can easily switch torque transmission and block, and can reduce a manufacturing cost or the like more than a prior art which has taken a higher safety rate more than that at a normal time, and a vehicle having the vehicle motor drive unit.SOLUTION: This vehicle motor drive unit comprises a motor 1, and a torque transmission device 3 for transmitting the torque of the motor 1 to wheels 2. The torque transmission device 3 has a torque limiter function part 8 in which block torque for blocking torque transmission becomes small as a vehicle speed becomes high. The torque limiter function part 8 has: engaged members 54 and 55 which are rotatably arranged around the same rotating axial cores while facing each other, and have engagement grooves extending to a radial direction at opposing faces; engagement bodies 56 which are arranged at both the engagement grooves of the engaged members 54 and 55, and perform the torque transmission; and energization means for energizing the engagement bodies 56.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
