Abstract:
To display numerals as an animation correspondingly to a travel distance in displaying the travel distance by means of an electronic display.
When displaying numerical values in a range finder in a meter by using a dot matrix display board, a figure as the last digit is upward parallel-moved for display by a distance corresponding to a prescribed number of dots within a letter display area each time the travel distance increases by a prescribed value. This causes the display to change gradually to a specific numerical value, making it possible to provide a vehicle occupant with a feel of arrival.
