Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle number imaging device and a vehicle number imaging method capable of obtaining an image bright enough to be able to read a vehicle number.SOLUTION: A vehicle number imaging device according to one embodiment includes an exposure control unit. The exposure control unit acquires luminance value information on a road surface on the basis of an image picked up by an imaging unit installed toward the road surface over time, and determines whether the luminance value information is a value within a predetermined range for specifying brightness that enables a vehicle number to be recognized from the image.
