Abstract:
To obtain a vehicle occupant protection device which can properly restrain an occupant under various conditions.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device 10 includes: a seat airbag 12 which is housed in an upper part of a seat back 52 and covers from a shoulder part to a lumber part of a seated occupant 90 in an expanding and deploying state; a tether 16 connected to a lower end 14 side of the seat airbag 12 at one end; and a retractor 18 which draws the tether 16 to a rear lower side of a seat 50 after the seat airbag 12 expands and deploys.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
