Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant transfer device capable of transferring a care-receiver between a wheelchair and a vehicle seat without any need of a driving source such as a motor.SOLUTION: An occupant transfer device 14 includes: a guide rail 23 disposed between a seat 12 and a door 13 in a substantially vertical direction; a slide unit 24 capable of lifting/lowering along the guide rail 23; and a transfer board 25 foldably supported by the slide unit 24. A floor panel 21 and the slide unit 24 are connected by a long elastic member 26, and the slide unit 24 is upward energized by repulsive force of the elastic member 26, so that the care-receiver seating on the transfer board 25 can be lifted/lowered by minimal force by balancing the weight of the care-receiver and the repulsive force of the elastic member 26. This configuration can dispense with a special driving force so as to be materialized at a low cost. Further, the occupant transfer device has a compact structure so as not to make a vehicle interior space oppressive or to obstruct getting-on/off of a healthy person.
