Abstract:

To provide a vehicle operation information collecting device which can effectively make use of a storage area for a backup storage medium.

This device is equipped with a management information storage means 142 which stores management information regarding a data quantity of operation information collected during one operation from exiting to entering a garage of a vehicle until the next exit, a medium information acquisition means 123 for acquiring medium information regarding a storage medium 40 from the storage medium 40, and a storage medium decision means 122 which decides whether the storage medium 40 that is decided to be the one for backup by a backup decision means 121 can be used or not on the basis of the medium information acquired by the medium information acquisition means 123 and the management information stored in the management information storage means 142. The storage medium 40 which is decided to be available by the storage medium decision means 122 is recognized as the one for backup.
