Abstract:
To protect a pedal operation-related accessory apparatus by stopping or suppressing a guard member from deforming more than necessary against specially abnormal external force without making the guard member large in plate thickness.SOLUTION: A brake pedal device (an operation pedal device for a vehicle) 10 for a vehicle comprises: a pedal bracket 20; a pedal arm (an operation pedal) 12; a stroke sensor (a pedal operation-related accessory apparatus) 30 arranged at the pedal bracket 20 in relation to operation of the pedal arm 12; and a guard member 46 arranged covering a lower part of the stroke sensor 30 and fixedly arranged on the pedal arm 12 so as to protect the stroke sensor 30 against abnormal external force. Then first configuration maintaining means 60 which stops or suppresses the guard member 46 from deforming more than a predetermined amount owing to abnormal external force is formed opposite between a projection part 58 of the pedal arm 12 and an interference part 50 of the guard member 46.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
