PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out more suitable parking support.SOLUTION: A vehicle parking support device is equipped with a pivot turning device 11 which is capable of pivot turning such that a vehicle is turned around a predetermined one point of the vehicle in a plan view. Before an own vehicle approaches a parallel parking area Ap, an area, in which a vehicle body longitudinal direction of the own vehicle can become coincident with a longer direction of the parallel parking area Ap by pivot turn on a passage 81 contacting the parallel parking area Ap, is set as a pivot turn spot area At. A center of pivot turn is determined at one point on the front side of the own vehicle, and the pivot turn spot area At for directing the rear of a vehicle body of the own vehicle to the parallel parking area Ap is set. Further, a route area which can reach the pivot turn spot area At is set, and the pivot turn spot area At and the route area is notified to a crewman by at least one of voice and display.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
