To provide a vehicle perimeter visual recognition device capable of displaying a vehicle perimeter image at a state that it is made legible by correcting its camera optical distortion, making a driver, etc. easily recognize positional relation and a sense of distance between the present vehicle and each point around it and transition of the position of the present vehicle in accordance with travel, etc. based on the image and enhancing visibility of the vehicle perimeter based on a displayed image.
An image processor 3 performs lens distortion correction, etc. to an original image of the vehicle perimeter to be obtained by imaging of an imaging apparatus 1, predicts a prediction trace on which the vehicle or a reference point provided around the vehicle passes in accordance with travel of the vehicle based on a detection result of a steering sensor 5 and displays the predicted prediction trace on an image to which correction processing is performed in piles.
