To provide a vehicular power supply system which allows a power-generation bus voltage to be set high to increase power to generate, and properly controls power distribution to individual units of the vehicular power supply system to simultaneously improve fuel consumption, prevent overload application to individual units of the power supply system, and ensure longer life thereof.
A constant voltage control type first DC/DC converter is connected between a power-generation bus A and a battery bus B, while a constant current control type second DC/DC converter 7 is connected between the power-generation bus A and an electric double-layer capacitor 6. A control circuit 8 determines a target value for an input current to the second DC/DC converter 7, based on at least one of the generated power from a generator 1, the voltage of the power-generation bus A, the voltage of the battery bus B, and a charge voltage or voltage target value for the electric double-layer capacitor 6.
