To provide a power unit for a vehicle in which a cooling device for a small-sized vehicle equipped with a radiator is installed optimally.
The power unit 6 is equipped with an engine 19 mounted on a motor tricycle 1 and emitting a rotational driving force from a crank shaft 26 installed parallel with a rear wheel shaft 33 where rear wheels 4L and 4R are connected and a transmission device 37 to transmit the rotational driving force of the crank shaft 26 to the rear wheel shaft 33 through a counter-shaft 34 installed parallel with the rear wheel shaft 33, and further with the radiator 63 to perform heat emission from the cooling water for cooling the engine 19, wherein the radiator 63 has a heat emitting surface directed to ahead of the motor tricycle 1 and is installed in front of the rear right wheel 4R.
