Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve turn performance of a long trailer and the like, by a method wherein a vehicle lifting and moving device formed with a parallel scale mechanism having an X-shaped link is disposed in the direction of an axle to the lower end of the rear part of a vehicle, and a vehicle is lifted and laterally moved by means of respective hydraulic cylinders. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle reaches a corner of a road, it is stopped once to expand upper hydraulic cylinders 5 and 6 of a vehicle lifting and moving device 2 mounted to a rear part 1 of a car body. Through downward expansion of an X-shaped link 3, a beam member 11 is depressed down to a road surface R to slightly lift the rear part 1 of the vehicle. Thereafter, expansion and contraction in a reverse direction to each other of lower hydraulic cylinders 13 and 14, a moving member 12 is moved in a direction A or B over the earthing beam member 11, namely the rear part 1 of the car body is moved toward the outside of a turn. With this state, with the hydraulic cylinders 5 and 6 contracted, the X-shaped link 3 is folded, and the rear part 1 of the car body is grounded through wheels for turn and running. This constitution enables improvement of turn performance, at the corner of a road, of a long vehicle.
