Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle rear wheel braking force control device by which target switching pressure of a bypass valve can be controlled variably properly according to a road surface friction coefficient before braking is started.

CONSTITUTION: A vehicle rear wheel braking force control device has a BV controller 16 to control variably target switching pressure of a bypass valve 14, and according to fuzzy inference, this BV controller 16 estimates a road surface friction coefficient from outside air temperature detected by an outside air sensor 22 and a wiper operation period detected according to a sensor signal from a rotary encoder 23, and lowers the target switching pressure when the road surface friction coefficient is small.
