The on-vehicle refrigerator, which is powered by a battery 7, has cooling means 2 made up of a thermoelectric element and the like, and has an overdischarge prevention function for stopping a cooling operation upon overdischarge, comprises, as means for reporting that the overdischarge prevention function has stopped the operation of the refrigerator and, after operation recovery, the internal temperature has risen, a control circuit 5 for detecting the internal temperature upon refrigerator power application and determining whether the operation of the refrigerator has long been stopped from the temperature, a display device 8 for reporting the determination, and display canceling means 9 for manual canceling of the display after a check. For improved food safety for a user, the user can view the display and know that the overdischarge prevention function has stopped the operation of the refrigerator and internal food may be damaged.
