Abstract:
To effectively transfer a load applied from the upper side of a roof panel downward.SOLUTION: A reinforcement 12 extends in the vertical direction in the vicinity of the rear end of a roof side-plate portion 3b. The upper end portion is fixed with an energy absorptive member 14. The reinforcement 12 is formed into a closed cross-sectional shape and fixed to an inner side surface 7 in the vehicle width direction of the roof side-plate portion 3b. The lower end portion of the reinforcement 12 is supported at a rail portion of the body from below. An upper end 34 of the reinforcement 12 is disposed at a predetermined height position away from a roof upper-plate portion 3a downward. A roof support plate portion 21f of the energy absorptive member 14 is disposed above the upper end 34 of the reinforcement 12 and supports the roof upper-plate portion 3a from below. The energy absorptive member 14 is formed into a hat-shaped cross-section that is more easily deformed than the reinforcement 12 with respect to the load from above, extends in the vertical direction, and deforms by the input of a load from above to absorb the energy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
