Abstract:
To provide a vehicle travel control device which can appropriately perform turning travelling during linear movement other than travelling straight by an independent steering vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle travel control device 10 controls traveling of a vehicle 100 in an independent steering vehicle 100 having independently steerable tires 91 to 94 with three or more wheels. A linear movement direction indication part 13 indicates a direction of linear movement. A turning target indication part 14 indicates a center of turning and a turning radius as a turning target indication value in turning of the vehicle. A steering angle control part 15 and a brake-driving force control part 16 acquires vehicle characteristics from a vehicle characteristic storage device 20. According to the indication values of the linear movement direction indication part 13 and the turning target indication part 14, the steering angle control part 15 individually steers each of the tires 91 to 94, and the brake-driving force control part 16 individually brake-drives each of the tires 91 to 94. When turning the vehicle relative to the indicated straight line movement direction, the steering angle control part 15 calculates a steering angle of each of the tires 91 to 94 from the indicated linear movement direction and turning target indication value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
