Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle-running-distance recording apparatus which is improved so as to surely judge whether a record has been backed up or not when an operation is started.
CONSTITUTION: In a vehicle-running-distance recording apparatus, a plurality of recording areas in a nonvolatile memory are used, records in the plurality of recording areas are increased by + 1 sequentially whenever a vehicle runs a prescribed distance, and running-distance computation data is recorded. The recording apparatus is provided with a memory which records the inverted value <L> of a vehicle running distance and the running-distance computation data, with a running-distance computation means which computes the vehicle running distance on the basis of the running-distance computation data in the memory, with a coincidence judgement means which judges the coincidence between the computed vehicle running distance <L> and the inverted value <L> and with a record rewrite means which, when they do not coincide with each other, rewrites the running-distance computation data to the memory from the nonvolatile memory.
