Abstract:
To provide a vehicle running support apparatus capable of predicting a possibility of collision between a vehicle and an object in a blind spot existent at the position being the blind spot of the vehicle due to a sharp curve, etc.
An object detection means includes a curve mirror recognition means for recognizing a curve mirror and a blind object detection means for detecting the object in the blind spot reflected in the curve mirror. A collision prediction means predicts whether there is a possibility of collision between the object in the blind spot and the vehicle, based on the information related to an object image in the blind spot reflected in the curve mirror being detected by the blind object detection means.
