Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device capable of improving the lock strength and preventing the looseness of the lock.
SOLUTION: The lock tooth 20 of the device is disposed in such a way that it can be rotated by an axis part 16 integrally projecting from a machine casing 10 and having the center O of rotation of the lock tooth 20 and two circular arc-shaped guide surfaces 11a and 12a via the axis part 16. The lock tooth 20 has teeth 21 to be engaged with internal gear 61 on one side surface on the free end side, and a cam surface 25 is formed on the rear side of the teeth 21 for oscillating the lock tooth 20 via the axis part 16. The mechanical strength of the machine casing 10 having the axis part 16 and the two circular arc-shaped guide surfaces 11a and 12a is weaker than that of a lid 60 on which the lock tooth 20 and the internal gear 61 are formed, so that the circular arc-shaped guide surface 11a or 12a can be deformed outward in the radial direction.
