Title:
VEHICLE START PERMITTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3913823
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correspond to the change of a program.
SOLUTION: The control circuit 2 of an immobilizer ECU 1 is constituted of a first control part 2a and the second control part 2b and the second control part 2b executes an ID collating operation based on the program stored in a flash memory 4. That is, an identifying code stored in an electronic key 13 is read and gives start permission to an engine ECU 10 when the identifying code coincides with the previously set identifying code. Here, when an ID collating algorithm is changed, an ID collating algorithm program stored in an IC card 12 is read by the card reader 11. Then, the second control parat 2b updates and stores the ID collating algorithm program which is read by the card reader 11 in the flash memory 4 and, after that, executes the ID collating operation based on the updated and stored ID collating algorithm program.
