Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the movement of a swing arm in the widthwise direction of a vehicle body in comparison with an arrangement using a rubber bushing alone, and to enhance the durability by using a plurality of pillow ball incorporating type rubber bushings in a vehicle body side support part of a swing arm. CONSTITUTION:A swing arm 3 is secured, at its front end 3a, to a side sill 8 and a side frame 9 through the intermediary of a support part 7. In this arrangement, two pillow ball incorporating type rubber bushings 72, 73 are mounted on the upper surface of a bracket 71 bridging between the side sill 8 and the side frame 9 in the support member 7. Further, the rubber bushings 72, 73 are coupled respectively to two support brackets 74, 75 arranged on both sides thereof. Further, the upper end parts of the support brackets 74, 75 are coupled to the front end 3a of the swing are 3 through the intermediary of a ball point 76. With this arrangement, it is possible to facilitate the movement of the swing arm in the vehicle body widthwise direction in comparison with an arrangement using only rubber bushings.
