Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform a predetermined action in accordance with a vehicular gap without requiring a complicated configuration even when one of a self vehicle and a preceding vehicle has changed its speed.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle system 1 monitors a temporal change of a vehicular gap on the basis of a temporal change of a collision prediction time by focusing on a fact that the collision prediction time changes with a time course when one of a self vehicle and a preceding vehicle changes its speed. Then, a notification action is controlled based on relation between a measured vehicular gap and the temporal change of the vehicular gap being monitored. When the vehicular gap on which the temporal change is being monitored is greater than the measured vehicular gap, a possibility for collision is determined to be relatively low. When the vehicular gap on which the temporal change is being monitored is smaller than the measured vehicular gap, a possibility for collision is determined to be relatively high. Thus, alarm is issued.
