Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a vehicle tire condition monitoring device wherein a probe head protruded from the face of a rim is low by detecting the temperature and pressure in a tire cavity by means of one probe mounted on the rim and connecting this probe to a memory device through a monitor tube and a terminal unit.

CONSTITUTION: A tire expansion head 7 is fixed to a rim integrated with a wheel hub 5 in a body, on the outer circumference of which a tire is secured, and an expansion valve extension pipe 8 is connected to this head 7. A probe 10 having a monitoring pipe 16 is mounted on the rim, and the far ends of the monitoring pipe 16 and the expansion pipe 8 are fixed to the anchor clips 9 fixed to the edge of the rim through a expansion valve 12 and a terminal unit 15 respectively. The probe 10 includes a hollow stem extending with the rim inserted in the air cavity of the tire, and a temperature sensor is provided in the hollow stem. a proper reading device or memory device is connected to the terminal unit 15, reading out and memorizing the temperature and pressure signals in the tire cavity.
