PURPOSE: To provide a wheel-equipped vehicle with performamce with a radius of gyration of zero and the ability to accelerate rectilinearly by rotating a first pair of right and left wheels simultaneously in opposite directions at high speed, and slanting a chassis slightly forward, thus balancing the vehicle with the rear end of the chassis and a third support body being lifted from a horizontal plane.
CONSTITUTION: The center CG of gravity of a vehicle 10 at rest is set along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle 10 and located between a pair of driven center wheels 23 and a pair of rear wheels 25 normally in contact with the ground and near the pair of center wheels 23. When the center wheels 23 are driven sufficiently quickly over a support surface 8 in opposite rectilinear directions, the vehicle 10 is dynamically balanced so as to sutomatically rotate about a vertical axis 60. When rotated, the vehicle 10 is slightly slanted forward about the pair of center wheels 23 and the axis 28 and lifts the rear end of a chassis 12 and the pair of rear wheels 25 from the plane 8 of support. Therefore, the vehicle 10 is supported only on the pair of driven center wheels 23.
