Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle transmission and a control unit, capable of appropriately starting an engine.SOLUTION: A vehicle transmission 1 includes: a transmission mechanism 10 including a first engagement device C1 and second engagement device C2; a differential mechanism 20 that connects a rotating shaft 31 of a rotary machine 30, a first input shaft 13 and a second input shaft 14 so that they can be differentially rotated; an inertial mass body 70 connected to the first input shaft 13 or second input shaft 14; an engine 4; and a control unit 50 that controls the first engagement device C1, second engagement device C2, and rotary machine 30. The control unit 50 can implement control under which: when a vehicle 2 is traveling while being decelerated, a rotation power that is transmitted from driving wheels 6 of the vehicle 2 to the inertial mass body 70 is stored as inertial energy in the inertial mass body 70; and for starting the engine 4, the stored inertial energy is released as a power, with which an engine output shaft 4a is driven to rotate, and the engine 4 is started.
