Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travel control device capable of guiding lane change from a passing lane to a travel lane while considering an own vehicle ambient environment with proper timing.SOLUTION: The vehicle travel control device is configured to: detect a current position of an own vehicle (S10); recognize a lane (S12); detect other vehicle (S14); and when it is determined that the own vehicle is traveling on a passing lane and a predetermined condition is satisfied (S18-S22), control the behavior of the own vehicle so as to change lane to a travel lane (S28). It is determined that the predetermined condition is satisfied (S20) based on a relative positional relationship with other vehicle.
