To provide a vehicular traveling control device for improving fuel economy while restraining an annoyance to surrounding environment.
The vehicular traveling control device 1 includes millimeter wave radars 2, 3 for detecting the surrounding environment of one's own vehicle 10, and an ECU 4 controlling traveling of one's own vehicle 10 corresponding to the surrounding environment detected by the millimeter wave radars 2, 3. In the vehicular traveling control device 1, when a following vehicle is not detected by the millimeter wave radar 3, one's own vehicle 10 travels by fuel economy traveling in which acceleration traveling driven by an engine 11 and deceleration traveling by stopping the engine 11 within a speed range E is repeated to attain improved fuel economy. On the other hand, when a following vehicle is detected by the millimeter wave radar 3, one's own vehicle 10 travels by usual traveling without acceleration/deceleration traveling, thus restraining an annoyance to the following vehicle.
