PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for aligning a wheel at a factory in advance and subsequently realigning the wheel after usage for verification.
CONSTITUTION: An insert 150 is provided on a bolt 92 between an eccentric cam 94 and the side face 140 of a bracket 130, and the lateral movement of the bolt 92 is prevented to limit the bolt 92 to a singular pre-set position in an elongated slot 136. A nut 64 is tightened on the bolt 92 for pre-alignment. After usage, the nut 64 is loosened, the insert 150 is removed, the bolt 92 is laterally moved in the slot 136 to a desired reset position for re-alignment, and the nut 64 is re-tightened to hold the cam 94 against the side face 140 of the bracket 130 without the insert 150 interposed therebetween. The insert 150 is forwarded to a vehicle manufacturer for verifying re-alignment.
