PURPOSE: To rapidly repair a trouble of a vehicle by a method wherein each of tiltable crawler propulsion units consists of a propulsion drive system and a tilt drive system and removably mounted on a vehicle body.

CONSTITUTION: This vehicle 1 has left and right propulsion units 3, and 104-106 tiltably mounted on its car body 2 through a universal coupling shaft 5 and an universal coupling 16, and has a battery 100, a central control means 102, and a tiltmeter mounted to be capapable of longitudinally running and pivotal brake turn on a toothed crawler 4. The crawler 4 is rotationally run under control of an electronic module 13 by a sprocket 6 and sprockets 8-10 around a swing arm 18 inclinably mounted on the universal coupling 5, and during running over an obstacle, the propulsion unit is lifted based on a signal from the tiltmeter. The propulsion units 3 and 104-106 are removably from the car body 2 and rapid repair of a trouble is practicable.
