Abstract:
To provide a vehicle which attains reductions in noise and cost, and improvement in fuel consumption, with good balance.
The vehicle includes a motor M1 for driving of wheels WH, an inverter 14 for driving the motor M1, and a controller 20 for PWM-controlling the inverter 14. The controller 20 performs synchronous PWM control, when a current supplied to the motor M1 by the inverter 14 or torque generated with a motor is larger than a threshold and performs synchronous PWM control or asynchronous PWM control and sets the carrier frequency or the number of pulses in PWM control, to be higher than when the current or torque is larger than the threshold, in the case where the current or the torque is smaller than the threshold.
