Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a fuse while inhibiting rupture of the fuse due to deterioration.SOLUTION: In a vehicle including a fuse which is connected in series with a battery and is fused when a current exceeding a permissible value flows, an ECU designates a baseline, which is a target degree of deterioration of a fuse, according to an accumulated traveling distance X of the vehicle. If a degree of fuse deterioration Y estimated based on a fuse temperature history exceeds the baseline designated according to the accumulated traveling distance X, an input/output power (WIN/WOUT) of a battery is decreased stepwise from a normal value P1 to a limit value P2. The baseline is a value smaller than a fuse blowing line Y2 signifying that deterioration of a fuse has reached a limit. Further, the baseline is set to a value that gets larger along with an increase in the traveling distance X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
